Great Resource on Getting Rid of Acne

Acne Cleanser

In looking for an acne cleanser, many of us begin at their nearby Long's, Walgreen's, or Rite Aid.

The aisles are filled with a number of preferred types of cleaning bars, deep cleaning lotions, scrubs, toners, masks, black head removal strips, and more.  Each person who buys any number of these products buys them with hope, thinking maybe they are going to help give them skin like that of the models on the cover of those glossy magazines.

Occasionally these products work, and occasionally they do not. If they do not work for you, it becomes terribly pricey going thru the various acne cleansers looking for the one that may bring you the clear skin you have been having dreams about. One possibility is to go to Costco.

They frequently sell Neutrogena and other acne products at a large discount. You have got to buy many bottles or one gigantic bottle, but if you have already attempted the acne cleanser and you know it works for you, and wish to keep using it, it is sensible to get it in bigger quantities at a store like Costco and save some cash.

Some folk think paying serious money for a product that is promoted particularly as an acne cleanser is a waste of your time. Do you ever wonder what people did before all of these acne products were produced and sold? Some just used regular soap and was hoping for the best.

Some used numerous herbal applications and had good results. What sorts of herbs or other common ingredients might make a good acne cleanser? Well, cornmeal and oatmeal mixed with plain yogurt is a good one. This makes a mild cleaner which has a little bit of an exfoliating action too.

For this gentle acne cleanser, use half a cup of either oatmeal or cornmeal and mix it with enough plain yogurt to make it into a paste. Then apply it to the face avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for a couple of minutes after which you should wash it off with luke warm water.

Oatmeal has a tendency to absorb things like dirt and oil and it also helps sooth and soften the skin. A facial mask to use after your acne cleanser is a mixture of apples and honey. Grate one medium-size apple and mix it with roughly 5 spoons of honey. Use it on your face once again avoiding the eyes and leave it on for roughly ten minutes. Then splash it off with some nice, cool water. This is a great treatment for shiny skin, and certainly costs less than a mask on sale at the pharmacy.
