Great Resource on Getting Rid of Acne

Acne Face Wash

As a longtime victim of acne, I still use an acne face wash every day.

If I miss one or two days I typically finish up with a pizza face all of a sudden, so I have managed to make acne face washes a critical part of my morning and night time routine.  There are lots of different acne face washes out there today and I have experimented with almost all the ones available over the counter, as well as some prescription versions.

All of them fundamentally fall into 2 classes based totally on the 2 most common acne face wash active ingredients; those that use benzyl peroxide and those that use salicylic acid. Even the prescription acne face washes I attempted used benzyl peroxide, but in a far higher concentration.

I have gone forwards and backwards between using the 2 different chemicals, and I find that benzyl peroxide is definitely better for me. It is not surprising to me that almost all of the acne face washes out there, including the prescriptions, use benzyl peroxide. Salicylic acid definitely helps too and I have found the best methodology is to use both. Not at the same time naturally, but if I employ a benzyl peroxide acne face wash in the morning, and then a salicylic acid one at night, it appears to improve my results than if I just use one type.

By constantly using an acne face wash and taking good care of my skin in general appears to go a great distance, but now and then I get outbreaks. I have come to acknowledge that a specific quantity of acne in my life is something of an inevitability. Ever since I used to be a teen, I have been troubled by acne, and it has not actually let up much even well into my grown up life.

Aside from skin care, the sole thing that appears to be the most related to my acne is stress. Using an acne face wash a couple of times each day, as well as lotions and other skin products often keeps the acne in check, but the instant something nerve wracking comes up the dam breaks and I’m left with a sudden surge of acne.

I can always seem to measure how stressed I am by the quantity of acne I am getting. 1 or 2 blemishes is standard for an impending first date. 3 or 4 is common for a class reunion, or a work interview. My inlaws coming over for dinner; pizza face.
