Great Resource on Getting Rid of Acne

Acne Marks

It is not as if I haven't already considered some type of sand-blasting for my face to get rid of acne marks.

I did not know anything about laser treatment to mix awfully peppered acne marks with good skin.  And the only Television adverts out there were those for a bottled solution I believe it was for Proactiv that looked a touch too magical.

During the late eighties while I wasn’t all that focused on my skin but rather on getting top grades in grad school; and I was ignorant about skin care breakthroughs. But looking back and seeing the remnant of a picking and digging journey that went on through almost all of my teens, I found that my acne marks needed some attention.

I told my husband how great it’d be to find myself in a position to sand-paper my face so I could get rid of those acne marks. I forgot about the face, the acne marks, and the likely answers to them until just recently, when I came across a web advertising for sanding away the marks! Well, they do not use sand paper, literally, but they do use tools and methods which make for a very similar process, one that may cure acne scarring for good.

First, there are products that claim to reduce acne marks. According to Dr. Audrey Kunin at DermaDoctor, Mederma takes away the redness of new acne marks not the pock marks, but fresh blots. Dr. Kunin also endorses Neutrogena sophisticated Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel. My best mate used Neutragena products and her face is phenomenally clear. Next, there are laser treatments.

Two types are most typically used ablative and non-ablative lasers. Ablative laser treatments are the more aggressive or more comprehensive treatments that remove the scarring by burning away the top layers of skin.

Non-ablative treatments stimulate new skin expansion without removal and are, compared to ablative treatments, faster and less intrusive. I guess that the laser treatments available are the sand-paper treatments I was thinking about or envisioning for acne marks. However as I’ve been urged by an all-knowing mother, I have continued to look after my skin with hot water and soap, an instant cold-water dip, and an acid.

Plenty of my teenager acne marks are closing as I am going into my forties! May you have the same luck now, and may you also concentrate on and heed the recommendation of Mom or Grand mom : Don’t pick! The oils and dirt from fingers are way more of an issue than a solution.
